sensor?
1. What is a sensor? Types of sensors? Difference between analog and digital sensors?
Sensors are common devices used to detect changes in the physical state and quantify the results of measurements at a specific scale or range. Generally, sensors can be divided into two types: analog and digital sensors. Temperature sensors with analog outputs use an analog output to transmit temperature, whereas sensors with digital outputs do not require reprogramming of the system and can transmit a determined temperature directly.
analog sensor?
2.What is an analog sensor? What is used to indicate the size of the parameter?
Analog sensors emit a continuous signal and use voltage, current, resistance, etc. to indicate the magnitude of the parameter being measured. For example, temperature sensors, pressure sensors, etc. are common analog sensors. For example, the LM50 and LM50-Q1 devices are precision integrated-circuit temperature sensors that can sense a –40°C to 125°C temperature range using a single positive supply. The ideal output voltage of the LM50 or LM50-Q1 ranges from 100 mV to 1.75 V for a –40°C to 125°C temperature range.
A typical analog sensor detects an external parameter, such as pressure, sound, or temperature, and provides an analog voltage or current output proportional to its measured value. The output value is then sent from the measurement sensor to an analog card which reads the measurement sample and converts it to a digital binary representation that can be used by the PLC/controller.
For analog sensors, it may be necessary to calibrate the DC gain and offset to achieve the required system accuracy. System temperature accuracy is not guaranteed in the data sheet as it depends heavily on the DC reference error. The output voltage of the device is linearly proportional to temperature (10 mV/°C) and has a DC offset of 500 mV. The offset allows reading negative temperatures without the need for a negative supply.
Definition?
Temperature sensor definition?
A temperature sensor is a sensor that senses temperature and converts it into a usable output signal. Temperature sensors are the core part of temperature measuring instruments and come in a wide range of varieties. Temperature sensors are very accurate for measuring the ambient temperature and are widely used in agriculture, industry, workshops, warehouses, and other fields.
Classification
Temperature sensor classification
The mode of temperature sensor output signal can be broadly divided into three categories: digital temperature sensors, logic output temperature sensors, and analog temperature sensors.
Advantages
The advantages of analog temperature sensor chips.
Analog temperature sensors, such as thermocouples, thermistors, and RTDs for temperature monitoring, in some temperature range linearity, are not good, the need for cold-end compensation or lead compensation; thermal inertia, the response time is slow. Integrated analog temperature sensors have the advantages of high sensitivity, good linearity, and fast response time compared to them, and it also integrates the driver circuit, signal processing circuit, and the necessary logic control circuit on a single IC, which has the advantages of small practical size and ease of use.
Application
Application areas of analog sensors
The application of analog sensors is very wide, whether, in industry, agriculture, national defense construction, or in daily life, education and scientific research, and other fields, the figure of analog sensors can be seen everywhere
Notes
Notes on selecting temperature sensors
1,Whether the environmental conditions of the object to be measured are damaging to the temperature measuring element.
2,Whether the temperature of the object to be measured needs to be recorded, alarmed, and automatically controlled, and whether it needs to be measured and transmitted over long distances. 3800 100
3, in the object to be measured temperature changes over time, and the hysteresis of the temperature measurement element can adapt to the temperature measurement requirements.
4, the size and accuracy requirements of the temperature measurement range.
5,Whether the size of the temperature measuring element is appropriate.
6,Price as insured, is it easy to use.
